Hattie A. and Fred C. Lynam Continue to Support Students
The Hattie A. and Fred C. Lynam Trust sustains the Lynam legacy by supporting Mount Desert Island high school graduates who are residents of Mount Desert Island through annual scholarships.
Scholarship Eligibility
Individuals eligible for scholarship consideration:
- Are Mount Desert Island High School graduating seniors or alumni
- Currently live on Mount Desert Island
- Are planning to attend or currently enrolled in a postsecondary educational program
Postsecondary education programs include course work at a college, university, trade school, or vocational school.
Scholarship Consideration
First time applicants must complete and submit the scholarship application by early May to request financial support for the following academic year.
Renewal applicants must complete and submit the scholarship renewal application by the deadline, typically early May, to request financial support for the following academic year.
Scholarship applicants should submit their finished scholarship application or scholarship renewal application with requested supporting materials by email or regular mail to:

Community Giving for Bar Harbor Bank & Trust each summer.
